Cringletie House wedding photography

Last Summer on a sunny but windy day I had the pleasure of photographing Heather and Kevin’s lovely Cringletie House wedding. Cringletie House is a beautiful baronial mansion in Peebles, not far from Edinburgh. It was the first time I’d photographed a wedding there but I had travelled though in advance to scout the best locations. I was impressed by how picturesque the house and gardens and it instantly became one of my favourite venues.

I was only at Heather and Kevin’s wedding for 3 hours but this was long enough to capture the most important parts of the day. Their ceremony was held in Cringletie’s large conservatory with guests facing in towards the couple. This gave I gave a nice intimate feel and meant everyone had a good view of the main event! Kevin and  Heather had secretly organised for an owl to deliver their rings which was a special, memorable touch. During the drinks reception the owl was brought outside for guests to hold and admire!

After the family group shots I stole Heather and Kevin away for a short while to take some romantic couple photos. There are many fantastic locations for Cringletie House wedding photography around the 28 acres of lush grounds. We took a walk around and stopped off at several picturesque locations including a small bridge over the river and the beautiful walled garden which had lovely colourful flowers in bloom.
