What happens next

From first message to booked date

  1. I reply with real answers

    Availability, what coverage I would suggest for your day and a full price. No pressure and no drip campaign.

  2. We meet, or we video call

    Half an hour is usually enough to work out whether we get on. Most couples know by the end of it.

  3. A deposit holds the date

    A signed agreement and a deposit, and the day is yours. The balance is not due until a month before.

Questions I am asked most

How far ahead should I get in touch?

Most couples book between 12 and 18 months ahead, and summer and autumn Saturdays go first. That said, I keep dates open close in more often than you would expect, so it is always worth asking.

Do you travel outside Edinburgh?

Yes. I am based in Livingston and photograph across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife as standard, and I travel throughout Scotland and further for weddings and elopements. Travel beyond the central belt is quoted with the rest of the day.

Can we meet before we decide?

Please do. I would much rather you booked me because we got on than because of a price list. Coffee in Edinburgh or Livingston, or a video call if you are not in Scotland.

What if my date is already taken?

I will say so straight away, and if I know someone whose work I trust and who is free, I will point you to them. It costs me nothing and it saves you a fortnight.
