The colours this Autumn were stunning and I wanted to share this lovely family photo shoot in Livingston from early November. We met up at a local woodland area in Livingston and spent around an hour just walking around, chatting and generally having fun. The photos were really varied even although we only covered a small area, this is why I love working outdoor so much the backdrops are endless. Dan and Debbie also did a great job of choosing outfits and a colour scheme that not only looked great together but also against the Autumn backdrop.

I just loved this recent family / toddler photography session in Edinburgh. It was on a lovely sunny day at the start of Autumn at one of my favourite locations for family photo shoots. The weather and colours were perfect. Little Joshua had recently turned 1 and started walking not long before so it was nice to capture him on the move. He was good as gold for me and super cute with endless smiles.

I loved this Autumn family photography session in Edinburgh. The orange and yellow Autumnal leaves looked amazing, the weather was perfect and to top it off Rachael is a fellow photographer so did a great job styling her family! The yellow / orange clothing and accessories they chose to wear added an extra pop of colour which worked brilliantly. 1 year old Ollie and his older brother were so cute together, I just love the shot of them both with the falling leaves.
I really enjoyed this relaxed wedding anniversary photography session in Edinburgh. These were taken back in August when the whole family of twelve had come together for a holiday to celebrate their parents 50th wedding anniversary. The families live in various countries so it was very special for them all to be together again. They were keen for me to take casual photos of everyone in the back garden of the house they stayed at to capture the occasion. Everyone had a great time which really comes across in the photos.

This lovely family decided that a family photography session gift would be the perfect surprise for their parent’s birthday present. It was a rare opportunity to have photos taken of the whole family together. I was impressed that everyone managed to keep it a secret and everything went to plan, even the weather stayed dry for us (not bad for December)! I photographed Jenna & Ewan’s wedding back in 2012 so remembered everyone’s friendly faces and it was really nice to see them all again.
This outdoor Winter family shoot took place on a beautiful morning at the end of December. There was a strong frost and it was very chilly but the light was golden and absolutely stunning :-)! Hannah had organised the shoot a few months beforehand because her family live all over the world and they were getting together over Christmas. It was a rare opportunity to have family photos taken. I took shots of everyone together as well as various smaller combinations. I think everyone had fun but by the end they were ready for a warming cuppa tea!
