At the end of July I had the pleasure of providing Theresa and CJ’s Edinburgh elopement photography at Lothian Chambers Registry Office. The story of how they got together was amazing…such a story of fate! They found one another in Austria after travelling from opposite sides of the world, Theresa was there on a trip with her best friend and CJ was there snowboarding with work. It was love at first sight. They had only spent a few hours together but knew they wanted to be with one another from the moment they met. They kept in touch online for a year after first meeting. When it came to their wedding day they only spent a total of 3 weeks together and they just knew it was meant to be :-D. This pair were fantastic to photograph, their free spirit and love really comes across in the photos. I took photos at several locations around the Royal Mile and also walked along to Princes Street Gardens.

I was very excited when Stacey and Gary booked me to photograph their Edinburgh Castle elopement. The venues they had chosen for their special day are amazing and I knew we’d get lots of great shots. The ceremony in the castle gatehouse was lovely with both witnesses giving a little heartfelt reading. A few tears were shed and there was plenty of laughter too! We then went outside to take photos in our own private area of the castle! It was great to have a little more time to focus on the bride and groom shots than I’d normally have at a larger wedding so we took photos in every location I could think of! We were also lucky enough to go out on the roof of Prestonfield House at the perfect time to catch a dramatic sunset. Thanks for a lovely day guys, feel free to leave a comment below. 🙂

I had the pleasure of photographing Kimberli and Michael’s beautiful Dalhousie Castle Hotel elopement. Their wedding was a little different for me as they travelled all the way over from Texas to tie the knot. All the photography planning was done online so it was lovely to finally meet face to face. They didn’t have any wedding guests so I was honoured when Kimberli asked if I could be one of their witnesses – check out the photo of me below just after we signed the wedding documents! Although it was late October we struck it lucky with the weather and managed to go outside for some photos between some heavy rain showers. I’m really familiar with Dalhousie Castle and it’s grounds now as I’ve photographed several weddings there now. I love the venue, there are so many stunning locations for photography.
