I recently had the pleasure of photographing Natalie and Grant’s beautiful wedding at St Giles Cathedral followed by a sophisticated Edinburgh Castle wedding reception. I started off with the girls who were getting ready at the Fraser Suites which overlook Princes Street. Looking out the window we were greeted with the magical sight of a double rainbow, a sure sign of good luck! Then it was off to St Giles Cathedral which really does have the WOW factor, I walked in open mouthed the first time I saw it. Natalie and Grant’s minister did a great job of making the ceremony light hearted, funny and also moving. After the ceremony, everyone exited the Cathedral and were met by an amazing 12 piece pipe band. What a way to kick off the celebrations! After soaking up the atmosphere of the band we headed to the Edinburgh Castle wedding reception. When we arrived the sun was already starting to get low in the sky. By the time I’d finished the group shots the sun had set and it was getting dark but this made for some nice dramatic couple shots. Later on after dinner the staff at Edinburgh Castle were kind enough to give us a lift to the front of the Castle so I could get some shots of Natalie and Grant next to the fire torches at the entrance….very cool! Thanks for a lovely day guys, please feel free to share this or leave a comment. 😉
