This lovely family decided that a family photography session gift would be the perfect surprise for their parent’s birthday present. It was a rare opportunity to have photos taken of the whole family together. I was impressed that everyone managed to keep it a secret and everything went to plan, even the weather stayed dry for us (not bad for December)! I photographed Jenna & Ewan’s wedding back in 2012 so remembered everyone’s friendly faces and it was really nice to see them all again.

This outdoor Winter family shoot took place on a beautiful morning at the end of December. There was a strong frost and it was very chilly but the light was golden and absolutely stunning :-)! Hannah had organised the shoot a few months beforehand because her family live all over the world and they were getting together over Christmas. It was a rare opportunity to have family photos taken. I took shots of everyone together as well as various smaller combinations. I think everyone had fun but by the end they were ready for a warming cuppa tea!

I met up with gorgeous baby Joe and his Mum and Dad for their outdoor photography session back in October. Blogging was put on hold over the last few busy months so I’m a little late posting this!
I really love Autumn for photography as the leaves provide a little extra pop of colour in the background. Joe was a little star for his photography session, we managed to get his attention and capture some lovely toothy smiles :-).
By the time we sat him on the small wicker seat I think he was getting a little bored of being a model!! The shot of him yawning says it all :-). I’m sure he’s going to love that photo when he’s older!

I photographed this family on a beautiful Summers day using the grounds at Edinburgh Botanics. I really love outdoor family photography as I’m able to capture fun, natural moments. Having lots of space outside means kids have the freedom to play and monkey around which is often camera gold :-)!

Back in June I photographed this beautiful family who were on holiday from the United States. They were staying at an apartment at Dollarbeg Castle near Stirling which was the perfect location for family photography. We had the place all to ourselves and wandered around the lovely, lush grounds taking shots as we went. Kids Anna and John were good as gold which made my job easy!!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family at Crieff Hydro Hotel on beautiful sunny day. The photo session was a gift for Helen and Michael’s wedding anniversary. We arranged the photo session to take place at the Hydro while they were all enjoying a holiday together as it was a rare opportunity to catch them all in one place. Crieff Hydro made a fantastic location as the grounds are beautiful. 🙂
