In July I photographed Steph and Alex’s amazing Edinburgh Glasshouse wedding. Throughout the morning the weather was very changeable with a few sudden, dramatic downpours of rain alternating with bright sunshine. Steph and Alex were had their hearts set on getting married outside so decided to cross their fingers and go ahead with their outdoor plans regardless of the risk. The outdoor terrace of the Glasshouse really is a stunning place to tie the knot with views of Calton Hill directly behind. At one point during the humanist ceremony some very dark clouds seemed to be coming our way but I’m happy to say we escaped any rain! It worked out perfectly and afterwards everyone stayed outside, mingling and sipping celebratory drinks while I took the family group shots.

Steph and Alex had organised to have their evening reception at Edinburgh City Chambers and thought it would be a good idea to have most of their couple shots taken around the Royal Mile after dinner. It was a great way of doing things as it meant they had a little more time to relax and speak to their guests before dinner. Thank you so much to you both for everything, below are a few of my favourite moments.
