Sarah and Murdo’s big day was the first time I’d photographed a Dalziel Park wedding! Dalziel Park Hotel and Golf Club is based just outside Motherwell and is surrounded by well kept gardens and woodland. The day was fantastic from start to finish and I loved shooting at the venue. When Sarah pulled up in her wedding car it was raining and she was ushered inside under an umbrella. The ceremony was emotional and although a few tears were shed it was balanced out by plenty of laughter! By the time the drinks reception started the rain had nearly gone off…perfect timing! I was pleased I was able to persuade Sarah and Murdo to head outside for their romantic couple portraits to make use of the picturesque areas around the grounds. After the official photos were taken I had fun capturing natural candid moments of everyone enjoying themselves. By the time the evening reception started everyone was up for dancing and the dancefloor was packed! These two definitely know how to party and I loved the moment when the guests joined hands and had Sarah and Murdo in the middle! I’m sure that was an unforgettable moment for them and it also made for some great dancing photos.
